KAILEY
TEDESCO
Kailey Tedesco is a New Jersey-born caul bearer and mother. She teaches courses on Gothic literature, the archetype of the witch, and horror at Moravian University and Northampton Community College. She has recently led poetic craft workshops with The Poetry Society of New York, and she is an active member of the Horror Writers Association. Her poetry has been nominated for various prizes, including the Pushcart and Best of the Net. Additionally, her poems won both first and second prize in the Science Fiction and Fantasy Poetry Association’s 2024 contest. LIZZIE, SPEAK
Lizzie, Speak is a conjuring of Lizzie Borden, the woman who was suspected of murdering her parents with an axe. Each poem invokes Lizzie’s spirit, trying to parse out the many difficulties that Lizzie faced during her time through the lens of a modern speaker, questioning maybe why, or even if she actually committed those murders.
