Mark Lamoureux is a poet and photographer who lives in New Haven, Connecticut and teaches English at Connecticut State Community College Housatonic. He is the author of Frimaire (White Stag) & In Search of (White Stag). His work has also appeared in numerous publications, both print and digital. FRIMAIRE
Frimaire is an altar between this realm & the cosmos; a space blurred by the smokey tendrils of offerings & frosted over by the breadth of ghosts. It contains the blood of our ancestors, the bones of our dead, & the wounds of a sacrificial landscape. With poetry that moves through the chaos of the current world with keen senses, Lamoureux creates extraordinary beauty out of the pervasive grotesque.

Inspired by the enigmatic television series hosted by Leonard Nimoy, In Search of channels the wonder, unease, & speculative spirit of the unexplained. This collection weaves together oracular language & wyrd themes evocative of the show's investigations. From UFOs & lost civilizations to psychic phenomena & cryptids, these poems blur the boundary between documentary & dream, inviting readers to wander the liminal spaces where mystery endures & belief is always just within reach.
